La Quinta by Wyndham Time Square South

The hotel responded to messages very promptly, the staff were very friendly, the rooms were spacious, it was close to Penn Station, and the price is reasonable. The breakfast was simple and the restaurant was small, but they provided waffles, which surprised me. It should be noted that a deposit of $200 will be deducted at check-in, and there is no receipt. The deposit will be returned to the original account 1-2 working days after check-out, but the time it takes to receive it depends on the speed of your own bank operation. I received my deposit . If you have any questions, you can contact the hotel directly and they are happy to communicate.

The room was lovely and cleaned every day with a fresh supply of clean towels. We stayed in a King room on the 21st floor and the views were spectacular (see 3rd photo). The room was adequate size and the bed was gigantic. Shower was big with a huge overhead shower rose. Lovely hot water at all times. The area is very busy and noisy generally so being away from the street noise was very welcome. I would ask for a room near the top in any hotel near times square. Situated in the middle of all the sights and a stones throw from the subway, train station and times square, the location is amazing. As per previous reviews the breakfast was OK and I always could find something to eat which set us up for the day. Most hotels in New York charge a lot for breakfast so complimentary food is always welcome. The reception staff were brilliant, advising us how to easily get back to JFK airport via the train. This saved us around 50 dollars and got us to the airport in less than half the time of a taxi. Unlimited coffee available at all times too! No bar in the hotel is not an issue as there is a great bar next door and Ulysees the bar tender is a fantastic host. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting New York for the first time from Great Britain.

Location was amazing! Was halfway between two substations so very convenient if u want to travel to other areas. Otherwise very walkable to Times Square & Broadway. We were 2 ppl in a 2x double bed room, and friends couldn't make it and was too expensive to downgrade size having booked early. So worked out better for us! Would have been cramped with 4 ppl in that room.

The location was excellent. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The mattress was great and I felt safe in the hotel even though traveling alone.

Hotel is spotlessly clean, modern, fresh and comfortable. The room is larger than expected as most in NYC are small. The bathroom was beautiful and shower was amazing! The complementary toiletries were a nice added touch! The rooms however only have the mirror in the bathroom which isn't great for getting ready. The bed was sp comfortable and the pillows were great, but we would have like a warmer duvet. The staff are amazing - so friendly and helpful! Love the complementary cookies every evening! The breakfast is self serve. There is a waffle iron, eggs, cereal, porridge, fruit, yougarts, fresh pastries, tea, coffee and fresh orange juice. The breakfast room os again spotlessly clean and nicely decorated! The location is great, just off 38th St & 8th Ave. 4 blocks down is 34th St and 4 blocks up is 42nd so only a few mins to Times Square. When returning to NYC I would book this hotel again!
